This is a highly diverse mix of true sweet potato seeds harvested from a population selected for seed production as well as tuber production. My experience is that about 50% of the seedlings will have decent tuber production, 25% will have good seed production, and 12.5% will have both; those are the plants I select to grow again the following year. Sweet potato seeds may need some scarification to germinate quickly, though I have had many reports of good germination without scarification. I recommend scarifying when you are working with a small number of seeds. I do this by scratching each seed on a file just before planting.
