Phaseolus acutifoliusTepary beans are a domesticated bean species native to the southwest US and Mexico. They are very drought tolerant. The beans are small, cook up firm, and have a delicious savory flavor.I have been growing these beans as a diverse landrace for about 5 year, and continually add to the mix. Some of them are descended from segregating hybrids shared with me by Joseph Lofthouse, others came from the varieties sold by Native Seeds/SEARCH.80-90 DTM~50 seeds
