Pincushion Cactus (Mammilaria spinosissima)
 
This easy to grow, cold-hardy cactus starts out short and round, but eventially can grow into a small column up to 20". Blooms frequently with a crown of deep pink flowers around the tip. Hardy down to 25F.
 
In spring 2025 I had pollinated my plant with pollen from other Mammilaria species, including: M. rhodantha, M. hahniana, & M. glassii. So plants grown from these seeds may be interspecies hybrids.
