Honey Locust Seeds 'Millwood"

Honey Locust is a deciduous tree that produces large seed pods that can be processed into and edible flour or syrup, or can be fed to livestock. The tree is native to the eastern US. Wild trees can be very thorny, but these seeds are from the thornless cultivar 'Millwood' which was selected for high quality pods and productivity. Some of these seeds may produce thorny seedlings, but most will be thornless.

'Millwood' was selected by John Hershey of the Tennessee Valley Authority, as a feed for cattle and an alternative sugar source.

Grown by Mike Jennings in 2025.

Packets: 20 seeds.
