Red Torch Cactus (Echinopsis huascha) (aka: Soehrensia huascha)
 
This cactus grows upright columns and numerous pups from the base. They can get up to 3' tall and have beautiful red flowers bloom profusely in spring. Easy to grow and hardy down to 20F.
 
This species is usually not self-fertile. I hand pollinated with a mix of pollen from other Echinopsis species, including: E. subdenudata, E. oxygona,  and E. grandiflora hybrids of several different colors. These seeds may produce some interesting crosses.
