White Torch Cactus (Echinopsis grandiflora) (aka: Soehrensia grandiflora)
 
This cactus grows a short, stocky main column and grows pups from the base. It has beautiful large yellow flowers in spring. Easy to grow and hardy down to 15-20F.
 
This species is usually not self-fertile. I hand pollinated with a mix of pollen from other Echinopsis species, including: E. subdenudata, E. oxygona, E. huascha and E. grandiflora hybrids of several different colors. These seeds may produce some interesting crosses.
