Lady Finger Cactus (Echinocereus pentalophus)
This cactus forms a sprawling mat of finger-like stems. Beautiful pink flowers in spring are followed by delicious green fruit in late summer. I tasted the fruits in 2025, and found that they have a wonderful lime-like flavor. Easy to grow and hardy to 23F
I hand pollinated these flowers with pollen from Echinocereus englemannii , E. morricalli, and E. gentryi, so these seeds may produce some interesting interspecies hybrids.
Grown by Mike Jennings in 2025.
Packets of ~100 seeds.
